Blackwatch Maine Coons is a family-run cattery nestled in Abingdon, Virginia, surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. Our program is built on a deep commitment to raising exceptional Maine Coons, with a strong focus on health, conformation, temperament, and early socialization.

We take great pride in operating with complete transparency and providing ongoing support to our kitten families. Every kitten we place comes with a lifetime of breeder guidance, because we believe the relationship doesn’t end when a kitten goes home—it’s just the beginning.

Our cats and kittens are raised inside our home as part of our daily lives. From an early age, they are gently handled and socialized, including regular interaction with children and our dogs. This environment helps our kittens develop into confident, well-adjusted companions who transition smoothly into their new homes.

Many of our breeding cats are thoughtfully selected imports from Europe, each with clear genetic health panels. We are proudly registered with both Cat Fanciers’ Association and The International Cat Association, ensuring we uphold recognized standards of excellence in our breeding program.
